Submissions for abstracts, pre-conference and poster sessions
Program: only Power point format is accepted for oral presentations
Pre-conference: Pre-conference presentations held April 8th will be of 30-45 minute duration, including time for questions.
Abstract Sessions: Each 90 minute breakout session will have 3 presentations each 20-30 minutes, including time for questions.
Poster Sessions: Posters will be made available for viewing throughout the entire conference. Let your imaginations soar and bring out the graphic artists in you!

Format:
Indicate if the abstract is being submitted for consideration for oral or poster presentation. All abstracts should be limited to 250 words and be typed single-spaced, using Word format and New Times Roman font, 12 points. The abstract should include a clear and concise outline of the goals, objectives and content of the presentation and written in the language of presentation. Please include names of the authors, including their positions and credentials and the contact information for the author who is to receive correspondence concerning the abstract.

Those who submit abstracts for review agree to have their presentation handed in by March 1st . This is necessary to allow time for translation. We reserve the right to cancel your presentation should this deadline not be respected. Participants whose abstracts have been chosen, either for oral or poster presentation, are responsible for arranging conference registration, accommodation and travel; presenters agree to assume all fees associated with their attendance at the conference. Registration fees must be paid in full by March 1st.
Abstract Review: All abstracts will be subject to "blind" peer review and will be reviewed and accepted based on the following criteria:
  • Adds to existing knowledge
  • Presents best practice solutions to current issues in HIV/AIDS
  • Presents clinical experience relevant to HIV/AIDS
  • Contributes to the overall theme or sub-themes of the conference
  • Addresses implications for nursing practice, education and/or research
  • Abstract is well written and clearly communicated

Deadline for submissions : February 1st, 2006. Notification concerning the acceptance of abstracts will be provided to the contact author on February 6th, 2006.
