Context: Internationally and within Canada, nurses are providing HIV care ranging from prevention to rehabilitation and palliation. Clinical care for all ages occurs in many different settings: rural and urban, in hospital or communities, in prisons and on the streets. We are also fighting HIV through research, policy development, administration and education. This conference will highlight accomplishments made by nurses in a variety of contexts. There is much to learn from our differences and our similarities.

Connections: Nurses exchange knowledge and liaise with other specialties, professions and community organizations. Many health and social issues are interwoven in HIV care. We want to hear how nurses are dealing with these realities.
